About Afton Endodontics
At Afton Endodontics, we use the best technology and techniques to save our patientsβ natural teeth. For instance, we use state-of-the-art Zeiss microscopes to enable our endodontists to locate the toothβs hidden canals and hard-to-spot infectious bacteria. Also, to be more accurate in root canal therapy and retreatment, we utilize a CB/CT scanner to capture a 3D image of the facial structures so that we can accurately plan complex procedures. In every aspect, our highly qualified endodontists make root canal therapy painless, predictable, and effective every time.

Dental specialists complete two to six extra years of training after dental school and usually work on referral from a general dentist, although most accept patients who call directly. Orthodontists straighten teeth with braces and clear aligners; endodontists handle root canals; periodontists treat gum disease and place implants; oral and maxillofacial surgeons extract wisdom teeth, place implants and do jaw surgery, often under IV sedation; prosthodontists rebuild smiles with crowns, bridges and dentures; denture centers focus on full and partial dentures, relines and repairs. Sedation and hospital dentists serve anxious patients and people with special needs, while TMJ and sleep-apnea dentists make oral appliances for jaw pain and snoring.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr Watts during covid when an emergency tooth pain I had needed a root canal. She was so kind, explained every step she was doing and helped me at a time when finding a specialist was challenging. Now a few years later and a different dental office, I was told I needed another root canal and deep down I was hoping Dr. Watts would be one of the referring doctors and she was. Just like before I had an amazing experience and she talked me through everything. What I remembered a few years ago and still holds true to this day is her passion for what she does and her patients. It's not just a job for her, but it's ministry and I pray God continues to guide her. Additionally, the staff at Afton are incredibly sweet, always smiling which is needed before you're about to get poked a time or two with a needle, lol. I hope I won't ever need a root canal, but if I did I know where to go. And I know who to refer to my family and friends.

Don't like having to go to dentist, especially for surgical procedures. But am thankful for them when needed suddenly. Was seen within 2 days of needing appointment. Office bright & clean & office staff cheerful & helpful. Dr Zak James explained procedure well & was careful to let me know what was happening at all times. His assistant checked with me through out the procedure to keep me calm. Best place to go for a root canal.

Dr. Watts and her team were absolutely amazing! Everyone was so welcoming, kind, and calming from start to finish. I have Alpha-Gal Syndrome, and they took the time to research my condition and make sure I was comfortable and safe throughout the entire procedure. The team is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and caring. What I thought would be a stressful root canal ended up being the easiest and most relaxing dental procedure I've ever had. I highly recommend Dr. Watts and her staff!

They are amazing! Dr Watts was so sweet and explains what she is doing as she goes. I was recommended to come here by my dentist for a root canal. I went in at 7am by 2:30pm I felt I didn't have to take anymore medicine. Slept throughout the night no pain at all. Just book your appointment you won't regret it.
